Weekend Review 15th January 2019

A very quick review of the week as I am away on holiday next week and need to get loads of stuff done.

Although it was the Leger meeting at Doncaster, fields were in generally fairly small and hence there weren't as many bets as anticipated.

It was another poor week for Ben Linfoot, with just a couple of places, whilst Handicap Snip continued his revival with 7/1 winner Sandret who defied a huge drift from 7/2 to hack up.

Not a lot else to report and not much time either.

I'll be back around the end of the month due to a week out of the country next week.

Stay lucky.

Weekend Review 8th September 2019

What was a very good weekend could have so easily have been the best punting day of my life. If only Jason Watson had managed to get Ripp Orf home.

Northern Monkey went ante post maximum  at 10/1 each way, and I also had him in 3 potential winning doubles, which would have returned a monster 45 points profit. Alas the horse who needs plenty of stoking up could only finish a fast finishing dead heat second. So close yet so far.

Not withstanding Ripp Orf, it was still another great week by Northern Monkey Wayne, with Swindler landing a strong bet on Saturday and he also tipped a winning double on Sunday with Dakota Gold and Roulston Scar in the sprints at York.

A poor weekend from Ben Linfoot with none of his 4 tips ever looking like being placed.

It was good to see Handicap Snip(The Judge) return to form with 2 winners from 3 bets. Time to Study landed the staying handicap at an early 10/1, whilst Hello Youmzain fighting off the admirable Tin Man in the big sprint at Haydock.

Mixed results from Scottish Football Bets with a small loss on the week.

All roads this week lead to the leger meeting at Doncaster, which starts on Wednesday and hopefully will keep the good run going.

Week Ending 31st August 2019

Sorry for the delay, but its been a busy week at work and home, and I just never had the time until now, Friday to post. Plus the broadband has been terrible.

Last week was pretty quiet, with Northern Monkey being on his honeymoon and very little action of any note until the Saturday.

It was nice to see Handicap Snip get back to winning ways with Oh This Is Us who got up close home at Chester at an early 3/1, and he also had an each way double which failed with the last horse, but I cashed out with a small profit, before the last one lost.

Northern Monkey did have three small bets, but just one placer meant losses, and Ben Linfoot's 2 picks, were never close to delivering.

Fortunately Scottish Football Bets returned to form with 3 bets of out of 4.

Overall, there was a small loss on the week, which was bearable after a few great weeks.

Next week looks much busier, with Northern Monkey back full time (He's already got an ante post maximum for this weekend), and on Saturday there looks to be loads of great racing at Haydock and Ascot.

I'll be back next week.
