Wednesday 23rd December 2015

Well, the money was won nicely as Julie Fieldens Kemsing won the money after a late gamble from 14/1 into 9/2. Good job really since the rest of the weekend wasn't so good. My darts bets kept things ticking over and Horsetrader had tipped Jollys Cracked It who dead heated for the Ladbroke Hurdle. Must admit I was happy with the half stakes win as I thought my man had been beaten on the nod.

This weeks been quiet so far, but it's bound to be crazy on Boxing Day, when racing resumes.

Friday 18th December 2015

It's the first day of the big Ascot meeting today, so it's busy for a Friday. 2 bets from Roger Bush, and 4 from the Paul Jones service. I've also backed Kemsing each way at double figure odds at Southwell following a good word in the Julie Fielden blog.

Wednesday 16th December

Apart from the dart bets, which update as the tournament progresses there were 3 bets on the horses. Horsetrader tipped Minella online who finished in the each way places at 10/1, whilst Roger Bush tipped Baddou, who never got close to the places. But at least today I was being disciplined. The last bet of the day was Firmament who I was on at 5/2 and was running in the evening meeting at Kempton. If he wins it would be a good day.

Tuesday 15th Dec

Very poor day yesterday as I let the discipline slip and made some poor bets. This meant a bad losing day and that I'll be playing catchup for the rest of the week. It's the same old story after a great weekends results....

This week I'll cut down on horse bets, but it will be pretty busy with darts punting.

Tuesday 15 December 2015

Results up to 15th Dec 2015

Friday 11th = +425
Saturday 12th = +700
Sunday 13th = +30
Monday 14th = +120

Total = +1275

The Weekend 12th December 2015

It was a pretty busy weekend of punting and I was on my works Xmas dinner on the Friday as well. The main event of the weekend was the 2 day Cheltenham meeting and some nice winners advices by Paul Jones got me off to a flyer on the Friday. Saturday was even better with Roger Bush and Horsetrader nothing tipping up Village Vic who scooted in at 9/1 for me. There were a few other shorter priced winners which made it a very profitable punting week. So much so, that I was able to resubscribe to Horsetrader. The week ahead looks exciting with the darts starting and another big meeting at Ascot. Happy days for the moment...

Back

Decided to get this blog up and running again for a while. Things have been decent recently after a poor run. I'm currently backing tips from Ben Linfoot, Golf by Ben Coley, and the Paul Jones Private Service. I won a free months trial with Maths betting as well. I was following horsetrader, but subs are a little too high for me at this stage. Ok, il be back later with details of this weeks bets.

Saturday 21st March 2015

Sorry about the lack of updates, I had a problem with the old laptop and have been waiting for the new one to be delivered. Its here now though, and therefore I'll be attempting to make regular postings.

Basically the plan up until Aintree will be to have a limited amount of money in my betting accounts which I will then keep separate from my day to day living expenses. It will mean good discipline, but hopefully I am now at a position where this is possible. I'll see how this weekends bets go and then come to a decision on how much money this will involve.

At the moment I have several promising positions in the golf in America, Judd Trump in the semi finals of the snooker, as well as a few bets on todays racing. Basically I am concentrating on 3 races, and have decent bets on Twenty Two Taken, Tara Mist, Morello Royalle in the 2.35 Newbury, Peptite Rose and Persian Snow in 2.00 Newbury, and finally Fentara in 2.15 at Kelso. I also have a few bets on todays football.

I'll update hopefully with some positive news on Monday, and then will be able to see what kind of betting banks I have to invest from in the future.

Have a great weekend.

Back in 2015

Its been a while and there's been plenty of punting with mixed results. I've had some great days and some horrendous ones when the old chasing habit have returned with vengeance.

Highlights have included some great priced golf winners courtesy of my old friend Keith Elliott, and I had a decent Cheltenham with some good priced winners.

In life, not much has changed, I live in the same place with my wife and retired Greyhound. I still work in Traffic engineering, however, its back to contract work again, and in Manchester.

I intend to get the blog going again, although I'd expect things to be relatively quiet until Aintree. My aim will be to have less bets, and especially with racing to totally concentrate on the bigger meetings.

Anyway, I'll be back as my plans progress, my first task will be to come up with a list of events for my betting, and from where my information will be sourced. I'll also be once again attempting to keep records.
