York festival week was always going to be frantic, and that certainly was the case.
It was the same tipsters as usual for me, although Northern Monkey, produced a slightly limited service due to his nuptials, and I had subscribed to the Neil Channing horse racing service for York. Alas this superb service only operates during the big racing festivals and hence there won't be another special until Cheltenham 2020. I'll give a brief summary of the tipsters, then the highlights of each day, followed by some profit and loss numbers.
Ben Linfoot - A profitable week for Ben, with a 16/1 winner in the Ebor
Weekly Performance = +£215 Overall = -£79
Nothern Monkey - A solid week from Wayne, with a decent profit to consolidate the previous weekends mega winnings.
Weekly Performance = £330 Overall = £5365
Betting Emporium (Neil Channing) - A great week for this festival limited high volume service, with a particular highlight being in the last race of the day.
Weekly Performance = +£485 Overall = £1407
Scottish Football Bets - A poor week from Greg with only one winner from five bets.
Weekly Performance = -£192 Overall = -£130
Golf(Ciaran Meagher) - A steady week of profits from limited bets. Casey finished top 10 at 12/5, whilst Koepke placed in the overall, and dead heated in the first round leader.
Weekly Performance = +£220 Overall = +£544
Handicap Snip - The poor run continued with this service with no winners on the week. The last winner was at Goodwood, and this service will need a quick improvement if I am to continue following it.
Weekly = -£576 Overall = -£1906
Wednesday
York started with a band as Northern Money tipped up last weeks hero Dakota Golf, who toughed it out to win the first race of the day. The only other winner on a relatively poor day was Eddystone Park, who came from the clouds to win the stayers handicap.
Thursday
No winners on the worst day of the week for me, with heartbreak in the last, with my three finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th to a 66/1 shot.
Friday
Friday was entirely saved by the very last day of the day where incredibly I had the first three, who all finished miles clear. It just shows the fine margins at these festivals between winning and losing. It was a but special as I watched it in the Mop with a oh so sweet tasting pint of Guinness.
Saturday
I was attending the Cheadle Beer Festival on Saturday, after a morning of walking retired greyhounds, and so watched the racing on my very drunken return.
A solid day to finish an eventful week, with Zaaki winning for Betting Emporium in the first race of the day at 7/2, and finishing by both Betting Emporium and Northern Monkey both tipping the 10/1 winner, who led all the way. Northern Monkey also tipped Shine So Bright to win at 6/1 (Still think he got beat), and Ben Linfoot weighed in with the winner of the Ebor at 16/1.
Overall Betting Blog Figures
WEEK = +£482
