Following on from Christmas its been another series of mixed results, but alas with a downward trend. Positively I still retain the majority of my profits, and I have got a few Cheltenham ante post bets stuffed in my back pocket. However, a couple of grand has been lost from profits during the last 3 months, after a stellar period in Autumn.
January as well as being pretty quiet on the horse racing front, is a bit depressing all round, a full month of work, poor weather, and generally not too much to look forward to. Roll on March and the festival, the best week of the year. However, although only 6 weeks away, it seems like an age now.
On the punting front, my best tipster has been Matt Tombs, who has done great to turn around early season losses into a profitable situation. The rest have been mainly treading water, with golf a particularly disappointment.
The weekend holds the hope of some decent racing, with the Cheltenham trials day and the Sky Bet Chase from Doncaster, so fingers crossed that someone can tip me a juicy priced winner.
I do think that its going to be quiet until that turbo charged week in March.
